Breath Officially Taken
For Brazilian minimalist & house officiando Gui Boratto, painting a sonic soundscape brimming with emotion comes as easily to him as eating those delicious little Bendicks chocolates comes to me. It’s just what we were created to do. Luckily for you, Gui Boratto’s gift is a far sight more breathtaking than mine, and Gui himself seems to agree; he named both flagship single and album “Take My Breath Away”. The album was released on Monday, and although it hasn’t garnered the same praise as debut “Chromophobia“, there is still a certain unanimity that “Take My Breath Away” does what it says on the tin.
Personally, I am still trying to work out how it’s possible for a Brazilian man to sit at a desk, press some buttons and create something that can genuinely affect people in such a way as he is clearly profoundly adept at. Seriously, just try listening to “Take My Breath Away” without being taken to a completely different world.
