Charting Within Months: Part V Everything Everything

everything everything

Everything Everything; purveyors of absolutely quality press shots and even better at popping out inventive pop songs, like the (much appreciated) sluts of the music world. Makes a change from indie bands gloomily peering at the camera through their painstakingly maintained Toni & Guy fringes, anyway.

Manchester based Everything Everything are probably the least certain of fame so far in this series. In fact, I’m not even sure if they will be “charting within months”. Sure, a lot of the right people are saying a lot of very nice things about them now, but they’re still at an early stage of hype. However, I couldn’t leave them out of this feature because, purely musically, I think they are the strongest band that I’ve featured yet.

All of these presuppositions are based on an obsession with one song; “My Keys, Your Boyfriend”, although their myspace quickly reveals that penning brilliant pop songs is second nature to them. Previous single “My Keys, Your Boyfriend” has blatantly been completely overlooked by blogs. A combination of impressive lyrics, an instantly catchy chorus and Northern-art pop eccentricities make for one of the finest, and most heinously ignored, singles of the year. Without a doubt, one of 2010’s brightest hopes; they have a seriously real chance to become very successful if they play their cards right.
