Glass Animals have returned from a lengthy absence, but their music is still based on the same principles they had settled on back in 2010; it’s ethereal, sensitive and eclectic, but they’ve clearly been busy in the past two years, because it’s fair to say that new track “Cocoa Hooves” makes it sound like they’ve pretty much perfected this niche they invented all for themselves. Vivid lyrics and tentative, trembling vocals make sure that it packs an emotional punch, making “Cocoa Hooves” feel so intimate that it demands all your attention. Genuinely phenomenal, reserved beauty.
